Shara Turner is a multi-talented professional with expertise in real estate, mortgage advising, Yoga, and Ayurveda. Shara is incredibly proud to have been one of the first Realtors to join Sotheby's International Realty Canada in 2005 when the company opened its first office in Kitsilano, Vancouver, BC. Over nearly 9 years, Shara built a very successful business, earning a reputation for her dedication, drive, professionalism, and integrity, always looking after her client’s best interests and needs with genuine care and expertise. She won herself a loyal following in the Greater Vancouver Area and built a long-lasting referral network.
Today, Shara is living in her hometown of Ottawa specializing in residential real estate and mortgage advising, working with buyers and sellers in and around the Ottawa region. As a REALTOR® and mortgage advisor, Shara combines her love for people with her passion for real estate to guide the process while building long-lasting relationships. A TIME BEFORE INDIA
Shara's impressive professional journey began at a young age working as a Xerox Account Manager, starting in her home town of Ottawa and eventually settling in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2005 she transitioned into real estate and started working as a Realtor with Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, specializing in marketing & selling luxury homes. Shara built an extremely successful business yet sought more balance in her life. This led her to place her career on hold as she pursued her passion for Yoga.
WHILE IN INDIA
In 2014 Shara and her partner opened a yoga teacher training facility in Rishikesh, also known as "the Yoga capital of the world," In early 2016 after experiencing tremendous success in the north, they opened an Ashram in Varkala, Kerala where Shara acted as lead teacher and Director of Yoga Teacher Training. Throughout her time in India, Shara personally certified over 500 yoga teachers. She found purpose, contentment, and the balance that she craved. During this time, Shara also became a Mother.
A TIME AFTER INDIA
Shara returned to Canada in late 2019 so she could care for her family. During covid times she continued teaching online and created 3 highly successful online continuing education programs for yoga teachers; Introduction to Prental Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, and The Principles of Ayurveda. Shara currently has over 1,200 online students and an overall course rating of 4.8*.
In 2021 Shara obtained her Ontario mortgage agent license and In late 2023 decided it was time to re-establish her real estate career; this time in Ontario. In 2024 Shara reunited with her Real Estate family and once again started working with Sotheby's International Realty Canada. She is now servicing clients in the Ottawa area.
